Those idiotic tariffs in the EU and US just mean that in every other place in the world the market will be dominated by Chinese EVs. Meanwhile, European and US cars can only be sold domestically where there is a captive market. That will lead to less innovation and higher prices. In essence the European and US consumers are paying the bill for the unwillingness to change of their domestic industries.

It's a very easy distinction. A semi-automatic rifle is not a hunting rifle. A hunting rifle is a bolt-action. There is absolutely no legitimate reason for any private individual to own a semi-automatic rifle.
