They also omitted 15 others, since it only included the bill of rights.

I am totally blanking on what he actually meant there.

Swear to his...god? Heart? I feel like I'm missing something really stupidly more obvious.

4.0.x wasn't great but it was used pretty heavily.

It'll be slightly interesting to see it, and I'm not sure a more "popular" version like 5.0 would be much more interesting.

I'm curious about releasing 6.0 or 6.2, which MS was forced to recall because they "stole" some technology and put it in DOS. Although part thatd be interesting would be any damning code comments.

It might cause a couple of minor revelations if/when the source is finally opened

Isn't the whole post about it being opened? It's released: https://github.com/microsoft/MS-DOS

I...don't think that's true. Or the reason why.

Anyone doing, say, OS development, sure.

Then we never should have used diesel or carburetors.

ripcord ,
@ripcord@lemmy.world avatar

Not just costly. Transportation and distribution is a big problem.

With electrical we already have an entire distribution network, it just needs to be significantly (but gradually) upgraded.

@ripcord@lemmy.world avatar

Was there any evidence of any of those or are those theories just fanfic?

ripcord , (edited )
@ripcord@lemmy.world avatar

OK, that's true for a few places, but why is it true in the majority of casss where people are buying the ROG?

What's the advantage of the mini PCs over a relatively cheap Android TV with the Steam Link app or even an old Steam Link hardware?

What's the hardware you're using?

I have been doing local streaming from my gaming PC to devices around tbe house (using mostly Steam and Moonlight) for nearly a decade.

I just find the steam stuff maddeningly buggy (setups that worked a month ago suddenly start having some new issue, usually Steam Input or otherwise controller-related). But when things work, it's fantastic. Especially for living room gaming with friends (or my kid)

I believe also Tech Jesus did a video too. Lots of stuff going on with this.

Including here on Lemmy.

It's why we're here in this case specifically.

Man, this fuckup is such a gift to salespeople at AWS, Azure, to anyone selling on-prem solutions, or any kind of redundancy/backup plans.

Agree except tbe French qualifier. It is just as likely someone might say "The most Microsoft thing", which isn't French-inherited.

I think he was genuinely better back then too.

Not great - in a ton of ways - but way better.

Something snapped 4 or so years ago and all his worst parts have been getting progressively worse.

ripcord ,
@ripcord@lemmy.world avatar

So, jailtime then.

ripcord ,

For now. That's also being killed in favor of the web app.

The early 2000s stuff did end up having some significant effects that lasted for decades.

They've 100% forgotten all about that or think it won't happen again in the last few years, though.

He doesn't mean white immigrants. He means the, uh, BAD ones.

I need to do some more formal testing, but I've found the discharge rate of my ecoflow to be baffling compared to my Jackery or a big Bluetti I have. My experience has been similar to yours.

Which has surprised me because in general I've only heard good things about them.

I drop the rock on their head intentionally because dammit, I'm trying to save the world. Quit making me go through the bullshit to get seeds; do something to help me already. Knock it off!

Otherwise I don't do anything negative to them or enjoy torturing them. I am at a point where I just skip the lazy "find my friend" guys, though, unless they're on my way and close.

ripcord ,
@ripcord@lemmy.world avatar

I've just maxed out my inventory from other korok seeds already

Hmmm, what about the opposite - a judge chosen by the opposition?

Like, what if it was Biden on trial for some reason and it was a judge chosen by Trump. Would you have the same concern?

I agree it sucks and she clearly sucks, but I'm not sure a simple rule like your saying would definitely make sense.

ripcord ,
@ripcord@lemmy.world avatar

What'd you say back to him or do?

boomers

Why specifically call out people over 60 here...?

ripcord ,
@ripcord@lemmy.world avatar

Looks like 35% republican vs 33% democrat (versus 32% "independent" who might all vote republican for all I know).

But there's a lot of republicans under 60 too so not getting the point of the random ageism.

They replied to you with something else, and that was removed. So they are really responding to that.

Americans are choking on surging fast-food prices. "I can't justify the expense," one customer says ( www.cbsnews.com )

Kevin Roberts remembers when he could get a bacon cheeseburger, fries and a drink from Five Guys for $10. But that was years ago. When the Virginia high school teacher recently visited the fast-food chain, the food alone without a beverage cost double that amount....

You know, usually if I try hard I can kinda figure out how his rambling stream of consciousness verbal diarrhea got from one point to another. This is just...nonsense.

ripcord ,
@ripcord@lemmy.world avatar

Once again, most of that is bare minimum expectation.

Happened to me three times. One in particular was like a little furry tank and did not mind tryingbto bowl us over to get back to his home.

Yeah, the title should be "claimed to eat a plane".

Despite their quality problems and the fact that we hate them now, they're generally not Whittier.
