You can try to scan your server with vulnerability assessment tools such as Nessus (it is available as a docker container) or sn1per which is open source.

Hey, I tried to run this container but I can't make it functional... Do I need to modify something else from my host (I am talking about fw).

Massive Thank You

I've been at this self hosting stuff since Christmas and at every step of the way, I've come asking for help and advice from this community (and the related ones) and everyone has been super generous with their knowledge and guidance. I am extremely humbled by the kindness you have all given me. Shit, I'm even grateful for when...

I agree with your statements however Immutable Linux and flatpaks with SELinux are a thing nowadays.

I was going to write exactly this... Most of people even from GenZ they just don't care... Cofee, traveling, stories of traveling to make jealous other people and that's life for 21st century...

We are supporting on site/translating or trying to build DivestOS on new devices but most of its projects, the base is being maintained by Tad

Rising Up a new Generation that is inderectly forced to live with less and less wealth every year without having the "illusion" of building a greater feature.

I have used both, personally I prefer kavita as it runs faster.

However kavita needs to create user accounts as well as it is auto categorizing books and comics which personally I hate, especially for my cybersecurity books.

Binance was slapped with a $4.3 billion fine because it let groups like Hamas and ISIS receive funds: Treasury Department::“Can barely buy an AK-47 with 600 bucks,” a Binance compliance staffer told his boss in 2019, per regulators.

Binance has no problem with its clients. FTX literally invested the money of the people in high risk assets, and they ended up bankrupted.

In the day of the Binance’s trial, people withdraw more than billion of dollars worth Cryptos. Binance didn’t end up bankrupt as they are holding A LOT.

If you are trading, its a cheaper choice. (Except if you are trading in Blockchains like polygon) Also, “not your keys not your coins”, but most people are losing access to their Facebook account (without 2FA), they have no chance to keep their own keys…

Βinance has shared publicly many of its wallets in many Blockchains.

No one wants 32GB Ram and 12 core 9.2ghz on his phone, we don’t need a new phone every H-3 years anymore.

Many applications especially banks require Google Safetynet to be functional, even without root. I am running DivestOS, a hardened version of LineageOS without gapps, and I can’t have access on my bank because I chose freedom. Democracy at its finest…

@sv1sjp@lemmy.world avatar

But in most of OEMs you cannot relock the bootloader with your own key…

sv1sjp ,
@sv1sjp@lemmy.world avatar

Now try to use most of Banking applications (even McDonalds app lol) Most of these application require Google Play Integrity. So practically, you are enforced to use Google Play Services or buy a second device to run android with gapps and then power it off (that’s what I did)

The plausible solution is named Blockchain and smart contracts. Until then…

I had a SecurityAwarenesse tiktok account and they just banned me for sharing “illegal content”. My videos had more than 50.000 viewers…

Well, personally I prefer the one with Enforcing Selinux by default.🐘

sv1sjp ,
@sv1sjp@lemmy.world avatar

But if it does not getting any updates, it is a bit risky… Find a custom which gets security updates and then do whatever they say in other comments.

sv1sjp ,
@sv1sjp@lemmy.world avatar

Well…lets pretend that with SafetyNet they don’t enforce people to stay away from Foss android. I mean, yes, I am running DivestOS, but a lot of APS are not working because they need Google Play Services. Some other they don’t even want you to have an unlocked bootloader. Most of Android devices do not support relocking your bootloader…

sv1sjp ,
@sv1sjp@lemmy.world avatar

No, Fairphone has a Qualcomm Snapdragon SoC, as a result they cannot in practice provide vendor updates for more than 5 years. They will just “increase” the version number and just provide typical android security patches.

New study gave $7,500 to 50 unhoused people ( fediscience.org )

“They did not spend more money on alcohol or drugs, contrary to what people believe, and instead they spent the money on rent, food, housing, transit, furniture, a used car, clothes. It’s entirely the opposite of what people think they’re going to do with the money.”

There are a lot of articles exposing each option. Personally I prefer chromium based browsers because they support full site isolation (sandboxing) of each tab.

sv1sjp ,
@sv1sjp@lemmy.world avatar

I was talking about site isolation which is nog available in all of Firefox versions, my apologies!
