I'm gonna post here instead of your post on kbin. I have questions! I already have an mbin account but stuff just doesn't matriculate like I am use to. How do I get magazines/communities to populate?
Hello everyone, check out my announcement post linked above and if you don't know who I am, check out my past post to learn more about me and It would mean a lot of you show your support for my future iniatives inside the fediverse!...
Can you elaborate on outboxes? Idk what that means but I have been working on an mbin instance and it has been a struggle... Thanks for posting the ! I'm gonna use that, also.
A San Gabriel Valley woman who was accused of using counterfeit postage on tens of millions of packages pleaded guilty Friday to defrauding the United States Postal Service out of more than $150 million....
I was expecting something more like R Mutt but this was also really informative. This is exactly the kind of red tape that looks bad and ends up being bad, and is then held up as an example for why we shouldn't have any red tape anywhere, ever.
Hunting dogs used for hunting aren't generally part of a farm operation, and hunting dog puppies aren't expected to behave at full performance, either. It's hard to pull much from the horse statement itself, but in this context it isn't helpful and looks really bad.
Baku (AFP) – When Russian troops deployed to Nagorno-Karabakh four years ago, their task was clear: keep the peace between bitter foes Armenia and Azerbaijan and prevent another war in the volatile region....
Hasn't that been a disputed zone for even longer? I don't really know the history but it seems like a rough draw for Armenians. I read recently that their sphere of influence may be drifting away from Russia, but towards whom?
NATO is just an alliance, not all of the countries involved agree on everything. I'm not sure how Turkiye feels about Azerbaijan vs Armenia but they got Finland and Sweden figured out.
I have to wonder about the instance I am on regarding this.
But also, is that quote from Coco? I've watched that with my niece a lot but never all the way thru. Seems like something that would have been said in the underworld or whatever.
I am really disappointed in how crime is reported in the US. I think it contributes to the lack of police reform. If the average person actually had a good picture of what is going on, including with policing, we could have such a better situation in the US. More folks would be pushing for effective law enforcement reform.
In the US, a train carrying gasoline and butane derailed and caught fire
The incident occurred near the border of the US state of Arizona with New Mexico. Six cars containing gasoline and propane caught fire. Local police are investigating the cause of the incident, reports the Associated Press.
The interstate was closed. Residents of houses near the incident were also evacuated as a precaution due to the wind, which carried away thick smoke. #AureFreePress#News
@peterbrown Changing this unfortunately may not matter as US roads are maintained by the government and are not always safe for use (but are used anyway).
3 or 4 spam "Buy Phloboxidril Now In Your Area" posts per day were tolerable. 20 to 50 aren't. I know I could block the magazine, but I'm just one of the many who are subjected to it....
Has there been a change in sourcing new magazines? Last time I tried it I couldn't get anything to matriculate, at least not kbin style with searching etc. Big turn off for me but otherwise mbin seems like the best fit.
Maybe I should reach out to the person who runs the mbin instance I am on. They were a kbin person before and may have some insight. An mbin version of this meta would be helpful, as mentioned!
This post doesn't directly affect kbin.social users, but it is relevant. It discusses some of the potential pros/cons of Kbin and the pros/cons of Mbin, and also the direction the kbin.earth server is heading.
This is a good discussion here. I'm sure I am not the only person to have other accounts (an mbin and a lemmy) but I am pretty invested here. But your #1 option has some relavent points.
Edit to add I have been digging the microblogs and miss that from what I can see on mbin. Maybe my error. I can't even find them.
Wildfire crews are battling an out-of-control wildfire in central British Columbia — one of seven human-caused blazes reported in the Cariboo region on Saturday afternoon....
It's too soon for this. Climate change in action 🙁 Where I am at in the US, we had another year of great snow pack, but it is melting incredibly fast. Last year this time, we had snow in town (in places). This year, it was in the 70sF and the snow line is receding such that I am not sure it will contribute like it did last year. Late snow is bad snow. We had a lot of that.
The Republican National Committee, newly reconstituted under Trump, has filed election-related lawsuits in nearly half the states. Recent lawsuits over voter roll maintenance in Michigan and Nevada are part of a larger strategy targeting various aspects of voting and election administration....
You already mentioned "the obvious," and the article said it. It's about removing legitimacy. They don't really care if some of their voters are removed, they care about casting doubt on thr process. For most voters, unfortunately, this means doing this now. We already have processes in place to manage voter roles, and they work. The Republican party is only interested in killing the process. Nothing more.
I don't think I've ever seen that music video, but I do remember watching some kind of documentary later (90s?) which featured footage from shows. They were at some venue in the US somewhere and one of the fans interviewed was convinced this was part of the next British Invasion! I don't think it worked out that way IMO.
I have never looked at it this way, but I appreciate your take and will take it with me. The US is perpetually under a poorly functioning coalition government. This requires a different mode of operation from the voter's viewpoint I think.
I've been dealing with dandruff since I was a kid, it's always made me really insecure and always wear a hat. I've tried plenty of different hair products, none seem to work. It's not just my hair on my scalp, it's my beard as well. I'm a 19 year old male (Caucasian), I've been already deciding if I want to go bald or not. I...
I'm not sure it's good to approach this with a "how do I get rid of" mindset. Unless you have some other specific circumstances, these are conditions that we live with. However, working with a doctor can help. Also, your own personal experience will, too. Diet, topical products, and possibly medication could all play a role. I have had excema and dandruff for my whole life, but thru watching what I eat and keeping track of what I use, I have a pretty good system that works for me. I didn't get the excema figured out until my mod twenties (from a management standpoint), and the dandruff until mod thirties, but I feel OK about those things now. I would have been better off, I think, if I consulted with a doctor as a teen. I really recommend this. Don't be afraid of a second opinion.
Thin with a boyish face and earrings in both ears, 23-year-old Isayah Turner does not look like a stereotypical Trump supporter, who tend to be middle aged or older....
Unfortunately none of that is reported in the right wing news ecosystem 😑 I wonder how many Republican supporters know that their congressfolk voted no on that immigration reform bill to, essentially, own the "libs?" Doesn't really excuse behavior, tho.
Was the treatment full body, once every three months? I've thought about this for about 15 years but it seemed like it would take forever. Probably less than 15 years tho... This would be amazing.
Is anyone else? One of the reasons I was interested in /kbin over other options was this feature, but I don't remember seeing them on subscribed or all. Is this new? I'm kind of intimidated by it but ultimately know I want to interact. I'm seeing some cool stuff! It's all on magazines I have subscribed to.
So this is the Cass Report I've seen mentioned over the last few days. Disappointing. I accept that there will be a lot of back and forth discussion amongst those in the relavent fields, but to disregard large bodies of evidence and to use outdated judgment models seems disingenuous at best. Sure, there can be disagreement about certain aspects, but the folks who this affects the most don't have time to dump what seems best now in exchange for only waiting. I can't imagine they will regret trying something now that, in ten years, may no longer be viewed as solid policy. We have so many examples of this that may not be directly related, but still saved and changed lives.

This isn't really exciting to read. I really appreciate the article handling this as strict information, it doesn't seem to have any loafed terms or forecasting in it. As you say, it is very accessible and probably the best way to digest this!
Thanks for sharing it. I am curious to see how this manifests.
Oh this is nice to hear, I had to switch to Arcpro at work and I don't like it. I have been putting off checking the qgis I have on my personal computer so I'll have to see what's up.
My limited experience with going to Church of God places indicated to me that they hold this belief, but I do jot know the term for it. They didn't pray to god, they prayed to Jesus, specifically. And cried for him. And thanked him. And apologized to him. And so on. All to Jesus, not god, who are apparently different.
The idea of the Trinity is not the same across all "Christian" religions, see Arianism for example of an early split.
You're right, I just mentioned them as an example of splits about exactly what has gone on with the differing beliefs about trinity interpretation. I don't recall that they believed in an evil god. I do recall that some interpretations have other feelings and operate as such.
The Arians and the Church of God are probably not really connected to what op is getting at. I'm definitely not a theologist haha! Maybe I should stay oiy of this...
