Me: “Is bugger a term that denotes a bugged state?
Senior: “No. That’s just what I have it print to show if something has failed.”

I got this:

Certainly! This classic river crossing puzzle involves a bit of strategic thinking. Here’s a step-by-step solution:
The man takes the goat across the river and leaves it on the other side.
He then returns alone to the original side to get the boat.
Now, he crosses the river again, but this time he leaves the goat and takes nothing with him.
He goes back to the original side, picks up the goat, and crosses the river one last time.
This way, both the man and the goat are safely on the other side of the river. The key is to never leave the goat unattended where it could be harmed or cause harm. Enjoy the puzzle-solving! 🐐🚣

When asked to use fewer steps:

Apologies for the confusion. The puzzle you’re referring to is a variation of the “river crossing” problem. The traditional version includes a wolf, a goat, and a cabbage, but in your version, it seems we only have a man and a goat. The solution with the fewest steps would be:
The man takes the goat across the river and leaves it on the other side.
He then returns alone to the original side.
This ensures that both the man and the goat are safely on the other side of the river, and it’s done in the fewest steps possible. If there were more characters or items involved, the solution would require additional steps to ensure everyone and everything crosses safely without any harm.

The bot was even joining in on discussion about the bot. We’re long past the Turing test.

Feeling lost and cut off at times and want someone to talk to about it.

II have thought about this off an on for a while, and decided I will talk more about it here since I haven't been able to find a more welcome place for someone who is considered spiritual and on the autistic spectrum. I'm not even sure what the right place is though as there are times I tend to feel lost in more ways than one...

Personally, I understand developing and embracing AI (specifically Machine Learning what people refer to as AI keeps changing), but I hate how everyone is basically stealing everything that’s public to train their ML models. In my opinion, that should be illegal depending on what the model is then used for. I heard of a concept called “glazing” where content is given edits to make it harder for ML models to learn from, but I don’t know how effective that will be. There really needs to be better protection from companies using all your data to train their stuff.

I do often like to observe nature. Also, when I was younger I’d sometimes feel like there was something trying to speak to me through various song’s lyrics that played on the radio.

I don’t really make too much effort to remember my most of my more recent dreams. I definitely dreamed last night, but I can’t make much sense of the events. I think it was representing minor anxiety? There was something about taking a small train to a clearing in a forest I think? Something about playing with my cat?

It’s often nice to take a break to collect your thoughts and daydream.

Translation layers are vital for preservation.

The malicious people in NVIDIA who are pushing for this are being very evil right now.

I’d want to elevate that TV a bit. Maybe add some books.

How TF does it expect me to identify a person? I’m bad at identifying people I didn’t even know who it was. Had to keep trying random combinations. Rest were easy enough though. For the texting one, I kept trying the options button before realising I had to press verify.

    Yes. Wouldn’t say “weirdly” though.
    I dislike crowds.
I often get tired of the idea of that I am a being that can be observed.
I like looking at nature and daydreaming.
Forests feel unrestricting without feeling too open.

I would probably feel somewhat uncomfortable living too far away from any kind of forest.

Got a Windows app you want to run on Linux? Wine and Proton are well known translation layers.

I guess Graphics Cards are similar. CUDA is basically the NVIDIA equivalent of .exe I think.

I HATE cooking recipes! They always seem to want to make you go above and beyond when you just want to eat.

    s12 ,
    @s12@sopuli.xyz avatar

I usually start by identifying the “meat” I want to have, then preheat the oven if necessary. The meat usually takes longest to cook.

While that’s happening, I check that I have all the other stuff I need. Once the oven’s preheated, I put the meat (and anything else to be oven cooked) in and set the timer according to the packaging instructions. Once it reaches 10-12 minutes, I usually boil some pasta/rise with some veg.

I’m not sure if that’s the best way, but it works for me.

Laughing out loud; watched the original video again.

How it started: “I could ask friends for help or talk to an interior decorator, but that’s social interaction and I don’t support it, so instead I wrote a Twitter bot”

How it went: *Has to ask friends for help and talk to an interior decorator to sort out the mess that the bot made.

It’s hard to give a definitive answer to questions like this, as different people can get offended by things to different extents.

I do however feel making something like Autism hard-coded in a race/species is a bad idea. Why not make it more like what they tend towards? Eg: Not being autistic is to gnomes is what being autistic is to humans?

Maybe that might be better. Not too sure though. Perhaps get feedback from other people.

The exact way gnomes are presented is probably important too.

Disagree. When reading a story, it’s easy to go at your own pace and work intentions out.

Tried the test and got a 9.

Thought I'd try digging up this old meme I made 5 years ago. Seems kind of edgy looking back. Hope this is alright for this community. ( i.redd.it )

I'd known I had Asperger's practically all my life, but it wasn't until much later that I'd heard it be called "a disability" and I took a lot of offence to it. It looks like this was actually the first meme I ever made.
