Too many downvotes . The new post does not state that it was given to their son for free.

Trump floats idea of three-term presidency at NRA convention ( www.theguardian.com )

Donald Trump flirted with the idea of being president for three terms – a clear violation of the US constitution – during a bombastic speech for the National Rifle Association in which he vowed to reverse gun safety measures green-lighted during the Biden administration....

Zelensky: 'Our partners fear that Russia will lose this war' ( kyivindependent.com )

President Volodymyr Zelensky believes that Ukraine's partners "are afraid of Russia losing the war" and would like Kyiv "to win in such a way that Russia does not lose," Zelensky said in a meeting with journalists attended by the Kyiv Independent....

@cosmicrookie@lemmy.world avatar

Yeah. I wonder if they still would be afraid of letting Russia lose, if the war was against Poland, Sweden or freaking Germany!

Jesus is their savior, Trump is their candidate. Ex-president's backers say he shares faith, values ( apnews.com )

As Donald Trump increasingly infuses his campaign with Christian trappings while coasting to a third Republican presidential nomination, his support is as strong as ever among evangelicals and other conservative Christians....

Not only within, but way above average. If not, they wouldn't look up to him like this.

That said, I have read some of them call Jesus too woke to be Christian

My point is, that most other companies would have shut down after all these incidents instead of "still trending downwards"

cosmicrookie ,
@cosmicrookie@lemmy.world avatar

To me, it seems like these events are way beyond common. A single accident (even catastrophic) would be acceptable. What is going on at Boeing, seems to be way beyond acceptable!

Yes - i have commented the episode as a text to the image. S3:E16
I am currently stitching one more together by him from the same episode that was pretty deep!

More a general loss of trust toward politics i guess.

Its a true line from the series though! S3 E16 where Spock has to deal with Gideon's leaders who seem to want to waste time while they expose one of their female specimens to Kiek

I deleted my account back in November when they enforced the 'pay or ok' option. I was not ok with that

Have read a lot of books since !

In EU you were given an option by META to pay for adfree experience or accept targeted ads

Problem 1: if you paid, they would not stop tracking you. They would just stop showing ads. They would still be able to suggest content from commercial accounts.

Problem 2: the price was unreasonable. It depended on how many accounts you have across the platforms but i believe that the price for my profile and a couple of pages was €32 every month

Problem 3: these two options replaced the option to accept untargeted ads. I was ok with untargeted but they removed the option

Their solution has since been deemed as 'not ok' by the EU data protection board

My very rough calculations using 85kg as an average adult weight, results in 153gr of iron

My problem is, that i dont have any expectations as to how heavy a longsword is but i'd assume it to be a lot heavier!

After further research it looks like the more appropriate number of humans needed to make an average longsword would be closer to 25.000

After signing the petition, they pop a large notification about needing to validate my account by clicking on the link in the mail they sent. If I didn't do it, the signing wouldn't count

cosmicrookie OP ,
@cosmicrookie@lemmy.world avatar

Oh ok. Yeah maybe! From a front end user point of view it doesn't make much sense though

cosmicrookie OP ,
@cosmicrookie@lemmy.world avatar

They still require you to confirm the email by clicking a link sent to that email, although someone mentioned that this may be an option to the creator of the petition

I do understand the requirement of not using . or + but blocking mail@ info@ seems too extreme to me.

cosmicrookie OP ,
@cosmicrookie@lemmy.world avatar

Yeah.
I didn't have a catch all mail and have set it up now. I was just surprised and 'mildly infuriated' that they would block this

cosmicrookie OP , (edited )
@cosmicrookie@lemmy.world avatar

I like that i have control of my mail, that it is not being used to track me or target ads and also that i dont need to work about storage

For me its pretty good!

cosmicrookie OP ,
@cosmicrookie@lemmy.world avatar

I simply host it on a webserver for now.

cosmicrookie OP ,
@cosmicrookie@lemmy.world avatar

The email i was trying to use was mail@ my actual name and surname.

It is very handy to share and easy for people to remember.

I dont feel that it needs fixing when it is perfect for me and my needs but not for some company that needs to be overly careful

cosmicrookie OP ,
@cosmicrookie@lemmy.world avatar

Yeah i set up a catch all mail now. It just seems like a very defensive method to me.

cosmicrookie OP ,
@cosmicrookie@lemmy.world avatar

Nonstandard email sounds so wrong!
As long are it is valid, there should be no limits. Especially if they ask you to confirm by clicking on a link in a mail
